SPACE GOOFS AND STUPID INVADERS

LET'S LEARN ABOUT SPACE GOOFS!!

Okay, serious time. I'm only making this page because of my current sick and twisted autism-fueled obsession with this kind of crappy show. Hell, I'm even reusing the code from my games page just so I can get this out. Join me on my sad and pathetic romp through the world of space goofs, and its weirdly risque videogame tie-in, Stupid Invaders.

What the hell is this

Space Goofs is a French cartoon by Gaumont Multimedia and Xilam studios, made in 1997 by the late jean-Yves Raimbaud Philippe Traversat. The show itself is what you'd expect from a foreign 90's cartoon about aliens; hijinks, slapstick, and occasionally a sprinkle of political incorrectness. Side note, Stereo is gone in the second season, which honestly makes every episode feel like its missing something. #JusticeforStereo

Plot Summary

The plot surrounds 5 aliens that crash-landed on Earth after trying to find a picnic spot. After some searching, they take refuge in a house for rent, which they eventually make their home and lab for rebuilding their ship. Throughout the series, the 5 make unsuccessful attempts ar returning home, and are constantly fending off any humans who rent the house they live in.

Singing Fish meme?!?!

Stupid Invaders... Where should I start with this game...

Okay so basically, Stupid Invaders is a (presumably non-canon?) videogame adaptation of Space Goofs.Published by Ubisoft in 2000 and developed by Xilam, It is a point-and-click adventure game with many, many, puzzles. Though it's an okay game (many describe it as insanely easy or impossible to finish without a walkthrough), what makes this little PC/Dreamcast game different is its bizarre, fever dream-like graphics and its probably-should-not-only-be-teen-rated humor.

Plot Summary

The 5 aliens have finally finished rebuilding their ship, when Lucien Bolok, hired by the scientist Dr. Saccharin, arrives to hunt them down. In the first section of the game, every alien but Bud is frozen by Bolok's freeze ray, so it's up to him to evade the bounty hunter and thaw out his friends. After that, there is a small segment focusing on Etno, who, before they're about to leave for their home planet, suddenly needs to retrieve the dictionary of human beings he had written in his time on Earth. After it turns out to be... something else, the five begin their trek back to their home planet. The gang, after some clear skies, eventually crashes once again, this time landing in a wasteland of some sort. Naturally, the ship needs actual cow shit to fix it, so Candy and Gorgious set out to find some. After shenanigans in a tooth paste factory, loads of toilet humor, and a really questionable scene involving a guy in a rabbit suit, the two finally return to the ship and their friends.
